Questions

Roofing questions, answered.

Plain answers about prices, insurance, the job itself and your Roof Record.

Pricing

How accurate is the online price?

It's measured from satellite imagery of your roof (its size, pitch and shape) and county property records, priced from our published price list. For most homes it's close.

Your range is guaranteed once we measure your roof at the visit: from then on your final price stays inside it, and your quote prints the most you'll ever pay after signing. If the visit finds something on our price list, such as a second layer of old shingles, we show you the photo and the exact amount before you sign.

Why don't you ask for my number first?

Because a price shouldn't cost you a sales call. You can see your price, change the options and walk away without giving us anything.

If you want to lock your price or book a visit, we ask for your name and mobile number then, and only text you about your roof.

What if the visit finds something the price didn't include?

Anything a visit can find, such as a second layer of shingles or a chimney that needs new flashing, is on our published price list with a fixed rate.

If we find one, we show you the photo, the line on the list and the exact dollar amount before you sign anything. If you don't want to go ahead, you owe us nothing.

How much does decking cost?

The first 3 sheets of decking are included in every price. After that we charge $85 per 4×8 sheet, installed. We'll replace as many sheets as your roof needs, but you'll never be charged for more than 20 to 40 sheets (the first 3 are included), depending on when your home was built. It's all written into your contract before any work starts.

Nobody can see the decking until the old shingles come off. So we text you a photo of each damaged sheet and you approve it before we replace it. You can also ask us a question first. The rest of your price stays locked in writing.

Are inspections and estimates really free?

Yes. We inspect your roof for free, including a drone scan of the whole roof, and you keep the photos whether or not you hire us. There's no obligation and nobody will push you to sign on the day.

Insurance and payment

Do you work with insurance?

We document your roof's condition with dated photos that show where each one was taken, and we can meet your adjuster to review our findings. The claim itself is between you and your insurance company. We don't act on your behalf with your insurer, and we don't interpret your policy.

If you need help with a coverage dispute, we'll refer you to an independent licensed public adjuster or attorney.

Texas law requires you to pay your deductible, and it prohibits contractors from waiving, absorbing or rebating it. We follow that law on every job.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, monthly payments are available through a lending partner, subject to credit approval, including for your insurance deductible. You'll see the full terms in writing before you sign anything.

The job

Do I have to be home for the visit?

It helps if you are, so we can answer your questions and look in the attic, but it isn't required. The visit takes about 30 minutes. As long as we have your permission and safe access to the roof, we'll text you when we arrive and when we leave, and send you the photos.

You don't need to be home during the replacement either, because we send any decking approvals to your phone.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single-family replacements take one to two days on the roof, weather permitting. Larger, steeper or more complex roofs can take longer.

You'll get the expected schedule in writing before we start, and a text if weather moves it.

Can I pick my install dates and track my job online?

Yes. After you lock your price, you pick an install window from the days our crew has open. We hold it for 48 hours, or until your confirmation visit, where we confirm it. If weather moves it, we text you the next open window.

We also text you a private link to your job page. It shows every step of your roof with dates and photos, and it's where you approve any decking. If you lose the link, we can text you a new one from the Track your job page.

Could my roof be rejuvenated instead of replaced?

Maybe. Rejuvenation is a treatment for asphalt shingle roofs that are aging but still sound: roughly 5 to 15 years old, with no active leaks, no missing or badly damaged shingles, and granule loss within limits. It's on our price list at $110 per square, with a minimum of $1,500 per job.

It can delay a replacement, but it doesn't replace one, it doesn't fix leaks or storm damage, and it doesn't reset your roof's age for insurance purposes. We confirm whether your roof qualifies at the free inspection, and we'll tell you which makes sense, even if it's the cheaper option.

Do you offer emergency roof repair?

Yes. We offer same-day emergency response for leaks and storm damage. We answer calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call (713) 909-0443. If we can't finish a repair the same day, we can usually put a tarp on to stop more damage.

Drones and your Roof Record

Do you use drones?

Yes. A drone scan is part of every free inspection and every confirmation visit, at no extra cost. The drone takes high-resolution photos of every plane of your roof, and close-ups of anything that needs a closer look. Every photo is dated and goes into your Roof Record, and if we work on your roof, the drone photos become part of your job's photo record too.

It means nobody has to walk on a fragile or steep roof unless they need to, and you see exactly what we see. We still check the things a drone can't show, like the attic, and the drone photos don't replace measuring your roof properly.

We only fly with your permission. Every flight follows FAA rules. We check the airspace near local airports before we fly. If you'd rather we didn't fly, tell us and we'll inspect without the drone.

Will your drone photograph my neighbors?

No. We point the camera at your roof, not at your neighbors' homes or yards. If the edge of a photo happens to show part of the house next door, we don't use it for anything beyond your Roof Record.

Your drone photos go into your Roof Record, which is yours to keep and share as you choose. We never sell them.

What is a Roof Record?

It's your roof health report: a set of photos and notes that shows the condition of your roof. Every photo shows where and when it was taken, and we include your roof's measurements and a plain-English explanation of what we found.

Every job comes with one, and it's yours to keep. If you book a free inspection instead, you keep that one too, whether or not you hire us.
